Address Level Cutback
Address Level Cutback, a feature on the Listcounts portal provides options for address level removal. There are three options under the Address Level Cutback section. Users can choose Random Cutback, Run Stop, or No Cutback.
Random Cutback: This option will randomly select addresses throughout the list based on the targeted amount specified. This allows a user to have a variety of addresses from each carrier route on their list. Saturation rates are likely to be affected.
When using the Random Cutback option, choose the Random Cutback option from the “Select Your Cutback Options” window and then enter a “Targeted Amount”. Click “Apply”. Counts and the Summary section will reflect the changes specified.
Run Stop: This option is used to set a maximum amount of records extracted to the data file. Unlike the Feather option where users can choose which routes to remove from their list, this option will output just the amount of addresses specified. Anything after that amount on the list will not be included in the data file.
When using the Run Stop option, choose the Run Stop option from the “Select Your Cutback Options” window and then enter a “Targeted Amount”. Click “Apply”. Counts and the Summary section will reflect the changes specified.
No Cutback: A user will select this option to undo any cutbacks that have previously been selected for a list.
The cutback will automatically be removed when a user selects this option and then clicks “Apply”.
